- Chartered Secretaries Australia (CSA) is the Australian Division of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA). The Australian Division incorporated in 1914 and, while it has undergone a number of name changes, it has always been focused on its Chartered status.
CSA is a registered public company limited by guarantee and is governed by a Board of 12 members, with at least one member from each of the six states in Australia. Each state also has its own State Council.
CSA is the independent leader in governance and risk management in Australia. As the peak professional body delivering accredited education and the most practical and authoritative training and information in the field, CSA is focused on improving organisational performance and transparency.
Membership of CSA can only be attained by individuals that have completed an approved course of study and are fit and proper. There are three levels of membership — Certificated, Associate and Fellow. There is also an Affiliate program for those that want to be kept up to date but have not yet completed their study. CSA has over 8,000 Members and Affiliates in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. There are also approximately 1,000 students studying with CSA during each semester. - Chartered Secretaries Australia Ltd Mission Statement:
