Ms. Grace Tan
Chief Executive | Singapore Association of The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators
Ms Grace TAN is the Chief Executive of the Singapore Association of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (SAICSA). She is a Fellow of the Institute Chartered Secretaries and Administrators.
She works with the regulatory authorities in Singapore in profiling the profession of chartered secretaries as well as corporate/company secretaries. She is a participant in the OECD Asian Corporate Governance Roundtable.
She also work closely with company secretaries of listed companies in areas of compliance and governance. Her work also extends to the non-profit sector.
Grace is the current President of the Corporate Secretaries International Association Limited (CSIA).
Ms. Chua Siew Chuan
FCIS | Malaysian Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators
Ms Chua Siew Chuan FCIS is the Immediate Past President of MAICSA, having been elected to the MAICSA Council in May 2011. She was President of the Institute from June 2014 - July 2016. She is Chairman of the Technical & Professional Practice Committee and Deputy Chairman of the Membership Committee. She is one the Institute's representatives on the Corporate Practice Consultative Forum (CPCF) and the CPCF Secretarial Practice Sub-Committee set up by the Companies Commission of Malaysia, and also Chairman of the Company Secretaries Consultative Group (CSCG). She was elected as Fellow of the Institute in 1997. She was the winner of the ROC-MAICSA Company Secretary Award in 1999.
Siew Chuan is the Institute’s representative on the Council of Corporate Secretaries International Association Limited (CSIA) and was elected as Vice President of CSIA for 2017. She is also the Institute’s representative on the ASEAN Corporate Secretaries Network.
She is the Managing Director of Securities Services (Holdings) Sdn Bhd which provides corporate secretarial, share registration, accounting, payroll, liquidation, management consultancy and advisory services to a wide range of clients. She has more than three decades of experience in secretarial practice and is presently the company secretary of several public listed companies.
Siew Chuan is the author of The Hands-On Guide of Company Secretarial Essentials Malaysia (published by CCH Asia Pte Limited) and The MAICSA Company Secretarial Practice Manual (published by MAICSA in collaboration with CCH Asia Pte Limited).
Apart from her professional engagement, she is also involved in several non-profit charitable foundations for the blind, arts and culture and youth organizations. She is a member of Industry Expert Advisory Panel (IEAP) for Bachelor of Corporate Administration (Honours) Programme and also a panel committee of TARCian Alumni Association (TAA) of Tunku Abdul Rahman University College (TARC).

In addition, Tom is a well networked and successful leader with a strong managerial background at top level with local/international experience and cross-culture exposure.
He is currently the Managing Director at Thompson Associates with extensive experience in Business Leadership. Previously he has worked as Chief Executive Officer at MTN Business for over 7 years, Chief Financial Officer at UUNET Kenya and Zambia. He has also worked for AfricaOnline and Nation Media Group.

Mr. Makarand Lele

CS Makarand Lele, a Fellow Member of the Institute has been elected as the President of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India for the year 2018-19 w. e. f. 19th January, 2018.
CS Makarand Lele is a Member of The Institute of Company Secretaries of India since 1992. He has done his Commerce graduation (B.Com) from Garware College of Commerce, Pune and Law graduation (L.L.B) from ILS Law College, Pune. Mr. Lele is a Practicing Company Secretary since 1993 and has professional experience of 25 years.
He is actively associated with The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) since 1994. Mr. Lele was elected to the Central Council of the Institute for the term of 2015-19 and became the Vice-President of the Institute for the year 2017-18. Earlier, he was elected to the Western India Regional Council and was the Regional Council Chairman for the year 2011-12. Prior to this, in the year 2003, he has served as Chairman of Pune Chapter and during his tenure as Chairman, Pune Chapter was conferred for the first time with the exclusive ‘Best National Chapter’ Award by ICSI.
He was appointed as the first Chairman of ICSI Auditing Standards Board formed by The Institute in the year 2016. He is a member of Corporate Legislation Core Committee of Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture (MCCIA) and was invitee on the Business Law Syllabus Review Committee of University of Pune.
He is appointed as a Nominee on the Academic Council of Shivaji University, Kolhapur and North Maharashtra University, Jalgaonas an eminent expert under Section 32 (3) (i) of the Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016 by the Honorable Governor of Maharashtra as Chancellor.

Ms. Karyn Southgate

Karyn Southgate (FCIS) has a B Com Honours in Economics. She was president of Chartered Secretaries Southern Africa in 2016/2017. She currently serves on various CSSA Committees:

• Mentor Trust which is a bursary scheme that CSSA runs for disadvantaged students.
She is financial director at Flanagan & Gerard Property Investment and Development which owns numerous shopping complexes in South Africa.Karyn also runs a small accounting practice, TidySum Accounting Solutions CC. Previously she was Management Accountant at Amalgamated Beverage Industries. Prior to that, Karyn has lectured in accounting, taxation and economics.
Ms. Samantha Suen

Ms Samantha Suen is the Chief Executive of The Hong Kong Institute of Chartered Secretaries (HKICS) since 1 July 2013. She has over 30 years of experience in the corporate secretarial departments of international accounting firms, law firm and multinational corporation. Samantha joined KPMG’s corporate secretarial department in 1993 and was a Principal between 1997 and 2003. She subsequently became a Managing Director of KCS Limited until 2007 when she left the company to pursue her other interests.
Samantha has a very long association with the HKICS and The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA). She was elected an Associate in 1982 and a Fellow in 1998. Throughout the years, in addition to being a Council member and Honorary Treasurer of HKICS, she was also a member of several committees and panels. Samantha was elected President of HKICS and the China Division’s International Representative on the ICSA Council in 2003.
Samantha was a member of the Sub-Committee of the Law Reform Committee for reviewing Part XI of the Hong Kong Companies Ordinance. She also served on the Hong Kong Companies Registry Customer Liaison Group, IRD Users’ Committee and Official Receiver’s Office Services Advisory Committee. She has been appointed by Hang Seng Management College (HSMC) as Chairman of the Advisory Committee of the Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) in Corporate Governance of HSMC since 2014 for three years. Samantha is an Executive Committee Member of Corporate Secretaries International Association Limited of which HKICS is a founder member.
Samantha also holds a Master of Business Administration from Kellogg School of Management of Northwestern University, USA and School of Business and Management of Hong Kong University of Science & Technology
Dr. Paradza Paradza
FCIS | Institute of Chartered Secretaries Administrators in Zimbabwe
Paradza Paradza a Fellow of the Institute Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (FCIS) is a seasoned ICT and Corporate professional with over 20 years of international and domestic experience in managing and leading teams and ICT projects in banking, manufacturing, mining, telecommunications, education and consulting sectors.
Paradza is a holder of PhD in Business Administration (USA), Master of Business Administration (USA), Bachelor of Business Studies and Computer Science (ZIM). He is an Associate of the Institute of Bankers in Zimbabwe (AIOBZ). He is also a Professional Member of the Computer Society of Zimbabwe.
Paradza is currently the Managing Consultant at ITRite Solutions and Commissioner of the Securities and Exchange Commission of Zimbabwe (SECZ). He has worked in a number of organisations as Head of ICT Divisions or Head of ICT Projects. His working career has taken him to the following companies and organisations; Government of Zimbabwe, Telone, Ashanti Goldfields, Turnall Holdings, FBC Bank, CBZ Bank and MBCA Bank. He is a former lecturer and examiner in some local universities and institutions.
He is currently the Board Chairman of Murambinda District Hospital and President of ICSAZ.
Paradza was elected to the Council of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in Zimbabwe (ICSAZ) in 2013. He served on the following committees since his election to council; IBAS Education, IBAS council where he also chaired from 2016 to 2017, ICSAZ Legislation and Technical where he was chairman in 2015/2016 and ICSAZ Executive, Finance and General Purpose (EXCO) since 2015. He chaired the following committees; IBAS council (2016/2017), IBAS Education committee (2015/2016), ICSAZ Legislation and Technical Committee (2015/2016), ICSAZ Education (2016/2017). As chairman of both IBAS education and ICSAZ education he oversaw the review of both curriculums. He is a member of the Examination Assessment Review Panel since 2012. He was subsequently elected Vice President for 2016 to 2017 Council. The 2017 to 2018 Council elected him President.
He is a former Board member of Capital Bank, Chengetedzai Depository Company and Dominican Convent Schools.
Mr. Samuel Kolawole

An accomplished professional in both the legal and administrative fields, Mr. Kolawole has built a career that has spanned about 24 years, beginning in 1991 when he served as a Youth Corps member at the Customs, Immigration & Prisons Service Board.
Born on the 9th of June 1968, Mr. Samuel Kolawole attended Ansar-Ud-een Primary School III, Itire, Surulere, Lagos State from 1974 to 1980, and attended Ijeshatedo Grammar School, Okota, Isolo, Lagos State between 1980 and 1985.
Mr. Kolawole is a product of the Ogun State University (now Olabisi Onabanjo University), Ago Iwoye, Ogun State, where he got his Bachelor of Law degree in 1990, graduating as the best student in Commercial Law, and the best student in Law of Banking. Subsequently, he was called to Bar in 1991 and worked as a Counsel with Austin Mamedu & Co. from 1992-1993, as a Legal Officer with Allied Bank of Nigeria between 1993 and 1998, as a Liquidation Officer with Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation from 1998-2000, and as Company Secretary/Legal Adviser with University Press Plc from 2001-2005. In March 2005, he became the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of University Press Plc, thus making a switch from law to administration.
Since 2005 when he has served as MD/CEO at University Press Plc, Mr. Kolawole has had landmark achievements and impacted greatly on the organisation.
Apart from his degree in Law, Mr. Kolawole holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) with distinction from University of Liverpool, as well as professional certificates from the Council of Legal Education (1991), the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (London) (1996), National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (2011), and Nigeria Institute of Management (2015). Currently, Mr. Samuel Kolawole is studying for a doctorate in Business Administration at the University of Liverpool.
He has also attended various professional courses and trainings both within and outside Nigeria. Some of them are: Understanding Digital Rights in a Digital Selling World, Frankfurter Buchmesse, Frankfurt (October 2010); Strategic Publishing Management – Publishing Training Institute, London (2008); Business to Business Marketing Strategy Course – Harvard Business School (2008); and Total Quality Management Course held at Allied Bank Training School, Lagos.
While working full time in various capacities, Mr. Kolawole has at the same time been committed to various professional bodies and institutes. Mr. Simon Osbourne

Simon Osborne FCIS is Chief Executive of ICSA and Joint Head of ICSA Board Evaluation. Based in London, he is responsible for the management of ICSA in the UK, Republic of Ireland and Associated Territories (UKRIAT) region. Mr Osborne is a Fellow of ICSA and has over 40 years’ industry experience.
Simon joined ICSA in 2003 as Head of ICSA Board Evaluation. In 2005, he became Chairman of the ICSA Company Secretaries’ Forum. He was appointed Chief Executive in 2011.
Before ICSA, Simon worked at Railtrack Group PLC for 10 years, initially as Group Secretary and General Counsel and later as the Group Legal Director. Prior to this, he worked at the British Railways Board as Head of Legal Department.
Simon is a member of the International Corporate Governance Network (ICGN) and serves on its Bylaws and Procedures Committee. He is a non-executive director of Crown Business Communications Ltd and of MNN Holdings Ltd. He is also Deputy Chairman of the Railway Benefit Fund.
Mr Osborne qualified first as a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales in 1973.
Mr. Mohammad Sanaullah
President | Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh
Mohammad Sanaullah FCS is the President (2016-2019) of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB). He is the first elected President (2010-13) of the Institute after the enactment of the Chartered Secretaries Act 2010.
He is a Fellow and Founder Member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB). He was elected in the ICSB Council several times and played an instrumental role for the enactment of CS Act 2010. Moreover, he was the Past President of the International Federation of Company Secretaries (IFCS) and Past President of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Managers of Bangladesh (ICSMB).
Mr. Sanaullah is the Corporate Affairs Director and Company Secretary of Singer Bangladesh Limited, a Multinational Company, with over 31 years of rich and varied exposure in business, corporate management and governance in Corporate Sector.
He is also a certified Trainer on Corporate Governance - Board Leadership of the Global Corporate Governance Forum (GCGF) of International Finance Corporation (IFC). He is a Director of Bangladesh Institute of Capital Market (BICM). Former Vice President, Intellectual Property Association of Bangladesh (IPAB);
He is a fellow Member of the Institute of Personnel Management, Bangladesh and a Former Council Member (2005-07) of Bangladesh Society for Human Resource Management (BSHRM). He is also a Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, USA.
Mr. Sanaullah is a visiting Faculty Member of MBA programme of several leading Universities in Bangladesh.
He is also a Member of the Trade, Tariff, Taxation & Company Affairs Committee, Foreign Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).
In addition to that, he has developed and contributed significantly to various professional development programmes and workshops organized by the Institute and various forums both at home and abroad. His contributions towards the development of the profession of Chartered Secretaries in Bangladesh is remarkable.
Mr. Sanaullah did his Graduation with Hon's and Masters in Accounting from University of Dhaka in 1980 and 1981 respectively. He had an MBA in Marketing and Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management. So far he visited many countries like USA, France, Italy, Switzerland, Turkey, China, South Africa, Kenya, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, India etc.
Mr. Alan Evans

BBus (Law), FGIA, FCIS, MAICD — a non-executive and executive director and chairman with international experience in the energy and resources sectors. Former roles as General Manager Corporate Governance, Corporation Secretary and Director Business Development for Tasmania’s Hydro-Electric Corporation for the last 13 years and is now senior adviser to the board and management of the corporation. A corporate governance and secretarial practice and law professional, he has over 35 years of practical international experience at executive level including ASX listed companies and as an executive and non-executive director on boards in Australia and internationally. Alan is a member and past Chair of the Tasmanian Council and 2014 National President and Chair Governance Institute of Australia Ltd.
